Ottawa Police are looking for a suspect in relation to a bank robbery on the 400 block of Preston Street Friday night.

A lone suspect entered the bank and asked a bank employee for cash. The suspect said he had a gun but had no visible weapons, the police said in a press release.

There were no injuries, and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the robber.

The suspect is described as a possibly Middle Eastern male, around 30 to 40 years old and between 5-5 to 5-8 in height.

Police have also released pictures of the suspect taken at the scene.

Anyone with information related to the robbery is asked to contact the Ottawa Police robbery unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116.
