In curling, old titles die hard. For reigning provincial champion Jenn Hanna and her team, this means starting at the very bottom and working their way back up to the top, a place they came so close to at last year’s nationals that they could taste it.  

 
For 40 years, children in the region have been sewing colourful Red Cross swimming badges on their swimsuits.

October has been quite the busy month for Michelle Wie. In the span of two weeks the young golfer officially turned professional, signed several multi-million dollar endorsement deals with major American companies, became the new face of a growing sport in the world’s most powerful nation and, to top it off, she turned 16.
