The Morrissey family is used to the bright lights and slippery ice of the Rideau Curling Club. Over the years, the booming echo of their practices across near-empty seats has become a regular part of their lives  

 
Competitors will skate, ski and run their way through the ice and snow of Ottawa as part of this year’s Winterlude Triathlon.  

 
It looks like a fish feeding frenzy – a blur of fins and limbs flailing in the water – but it’s actually a game of underwater hockey. The “fish” are Speedo-clad divers battling for a neon-coloured puck.  

 
The NHL lockout has been the subject of countless column inches. Every sports columnist in the country has already said almost everything there is to say. So why waste any more inches on this?
