Like a proud mother hen, Oksana Yarosh says that each of her pysanky is unique in its own way.  

 
Ottawa resident Kasia Sadej has been honoured with the Vivian Asfar Award for Vocal Excellence. The $2,000 bursary is given to a young member of Opera Lyra Ottawa each year and was presented to the mezzo-soprano on March 19.  

 
Over the next few months, Ottawa schools will receive used musical instruments as part of a new program called ENCORE.  

 
Most little girls adore playing dress up. It’s fun to parade in mom’s tacky purple corduroy dress, orange sun hat and beige high-heel pumps in front of the mirror. Despite the oversized and mismatched clothes, we thought we looked great. And we did.
